Character design
A few sketches for character design for this semester's short. We've just begun; we're on the storyboard stage.
Also, here are a couple of pieces of Homestuck fanart I've done lately. I've been taking digital painting classes, so I'm much more comfortable with color now-- it's fun!

More character designs!
Some more designs from Character Design class I found while sorting through old files. The first five are from September-October, during my 5-week scholarship in Cal Arts. The last two are back from August, I think?
The first assignment was to design characters based on a milk carton, a banana and a pear. And then, to design Halloween costumes based on those shapes. The second assignment was to redesign some Yo Gabba Gabba characters, that was fun. (The show's apparently pretty popular in the States? I'd never heard of it before going there!)
The last two are from a self portrait assignment here at my school. There were many more sketches, but they were mostly awful, so I just chose the ones I liked best. (I need a new profile picture. My hair's changed a lot since last year...)

Sketchbook post
A few things I drew on my sketchbook over the last month. Slowly getting back on track after finals. An experiment with acrylics, some character designs for a comic I'm working on, Sherlock and ASOIAF fanart, and a couple of sketches that just looked nice!

Character Design
Well, I decided to finally upload some of my class assignments for the last year. Here are some from my Character & Background Design class.
The first character is from my short. The second batch of characters are from several assignments about robots. The final illustration took me longer to make than it should've, maybe, but I'm really happy with how it came out; it's one of my favourite pieces this year.

Animatic
Here's the animatic for the short I'm working on for college. I have less than two months to finish this! Eek!
I did this animatic about a year ago for a class, but never got around to actually making the short and completely forgot about it. Then this year, I was struggling to make a story work for my short, I was running out of time, and...aha! I met my teacher from that class again, and he asked if I had ever finished the film. I told him I hadn't, he said that I really should, and, yeah, idea.
Not only is this story much better than the one I was trying to use (...not that the story itself was bad. It was just really hard to fit into a one-minute film) but I saved myself the trouble of actually having to make a new animatic. Not to mention that I want to see this finished, now! :)
It doesn't have a title yet, though. I'm terrible with titles...
